I wanted to show you a bit about why we developed our summer checking out program.
For me, it was since of my students.
Throughout the years of mentor in my private knowing center, parents would bring their children to me that were behind in reading and spelling.

Sometimes they were simply a little bit behind, in some cases they were way behind, and in some cases they were at grade level and just wished to progress much faster.
Sometimes this was since the trainees had finding out difficulties like dyslexia and ADHD. Other times, this was just since the instructors did not teach all of the particular skills needed to check out.

I put together a program of these findings into brief 5-20 minute daily activities that I might do with my students.

The program does take some participation from a parent for grades K-2, but for grades 3-8, the majority of kids can do most activities in the program by themselves.
